The Jackson Housing Commission

Mission Statement

The mission of the Jackson Housing Commission (JHC) is to assist low income families in securing safe, decent and affordable housing; create opportunities for resident and participant families to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal and program integrity by all program participants.

Public Comment

FY 2014 Proposed Annual Plan Changes

The Jackson Housing Commission (JHC) will release for a 45 days public comment period significant amendments to its Capital Statement/Annual Plan; Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan (ACOP); Lease; Work Order Charges; and the Tenant Handbook on August 22, 2014. 

All documents and the summary of proposed changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM) at 303 Stewart Ave Jackson, MI 49201 and the Chalet Terrance office at 316 Barberry Jackson, MI 49203. A meeting will be conducted on September the 11, 2014 during the Resident Council meeting for Reed Manor at 7:00 PM regarding the proposed changes. On September 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM the JHC Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 303 Stewart Ave Jackson, MI 49201 to receive public comments.
